Week After Bangkok Jazz

22nd March 2008 (Saturday)

It has been a week since the last post. minus the random emo post somewhere this week. *shy*

So, the usual lectures, classes and the weekly Chemistry Lab report has pretty much taken up all my time during the weekdays. Other than studies, need to spend time with the Boyfriend via webcam, gym, catch up with the parents, sleep, etc. Somehow, always too lazy to update/nothing to write about/too lazy to recall any current activities.

I spent a total of 10 hours in uni on a Wednesday (19.03.2008) in March. Out of the 10hours, i have 7 hours of lecture/tutorial all in a row without break. Dont ask me how i survived the marathon. All these hours just to make up for the public holiday, which is, on the next day (Thursday). Kiasu-ness won't allow me to skip tutorial, even if it was just for a day. Plus, when you're surrounded by friends or course mates under scholarships and scoring high disctinctions, erm, really, you need to buckle up! work twice/thrice as hard!!!! *kiasu kiasu* so competitive lar. sigh.

Anyhow, the last tutorial for the day ended 30mins earlier. because i have a tutor who talks and explains with the speed of a bullet train.

*Happy happy*

But, instead of going home and crash the bed, i went to Pyramid with a few friends for dinner and movie. happening lar, lim jia wei.

so, you can imagine how exhausted i was. almost fell asleep during the movie ok.

watched "Spiderwick" btw.

........................................

The Boyfriend left for Spain on Wednesday morning (UK time). A holiday trip in conjunction of the Easter holidays. yes, in UK, you get a month off for Easter. Over here, you get a week. sigh..

SPAIN SPAIN SPAIN.
i cant stop thinking about it.

was talking to the girls recently, and realised that over here, when we go for trips, it's places like Penang or Genting Highlands. boohoo. see the difference?

the timing couldnt be any better. While he is away in Spain, im currently having my one week precious break. which means, we wont be spending much time with each other, not much of difference from when we're both studying. sigh..

.............................................

i know this was a week ago.
But, we went Bangkok Jazz last Saturday night!!! *beams in happiness* =D =D

i was happy because they serve one of the best lychee martini's and they play Jazz.

One HAVE to love Jazz. seriously.

LiShan holding the drinks menu.

Janet Lee was performing that night. Performance starts at 10pm, but we arrived at 11pm. Greatness. first, we got lost. second reason shall not be mentioned here. *er-hem er-hem* just kidding love..

First half of the performance ended right when we stepped through the doors to Bangkok Jazz.

perfect.

while waiting for the drinks to arrive...

clockwise : Frozen strawberry margarita (Shan's), Lychee Martini (mine, duh), PinaColada (Bryan's),Sangria (Sam's), .

it was Bryan's second drink. his first drink was beer, so, not in the pic. haha. =p

Bryan stealing a few sip of Sangria.

My Bestie *hearts*

Finally, second hald of the performace. Kicked off with just the instruments. SUPERB.

then came Janet Lee in CheongSam. She did a few famous Chinese songs by Teresa Teng.

dont tell me you dont know who Teresa is! especially if you're a Chinese.

A short video clip.

Not superb, but i like =)

After the performance.

Second half ended soooooooooo fast!!!!! i was just getting into the mood and

"ok, this is our last 2 number" then, bye bye. thanks for coming. -_-"

so tak puas ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone left right after the performance.
So, while enjoying the music played in an almost empty Bangkok Jazz, we layan-ed and took soooooo many pictures!

the story starts from top left and goes clockwise ;)

Clearly, they've got a strong bond with my camera.

Before my camera forget his real owner, i jumped in for a few pics. hee..

Tha Darlie toothpaste commercial, and, I-dont-know-what-the-crap-were-we-doing.

haha.

The FOUR OF US! =)

ps: my dress was a tad too short the night. what with the low sofa seats, the pillow became my companion for the night. heee...hence explains me with the pillow on my lap in every picture. *shy*

On the way back, we got lost again!!! we're seriously Subang people who never get out of our comfort zone unless necessary. terrible.

The best part of it, because we took the wrong lane, we ended up in Jalan Ipoh.

Instead of heading back to good old Subang for mamak or Mc"DongDong" aka McDonalds, we had DIM SUM!!!!!!!!!!!

we be the dimsum fans yo!

In the End, it was good to get lost...

More Jazz Gigs!!!! OK? =p

ps: been raining from afternoon till now. spoil my gym plan. roar.
